Darris transitioned from this life to be with his mother and the Lord on November 21, 2024.
Darris received his education in the Houston Independent School District, graduating from Kashmere Senior High School in the Class of 1997. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Darris began his
career as a skilled and proud electrician. He spent most of his career as a dedicated employee of Blanco Electric LTD.
Darris was a hard-working man who deeply loved his family. In his free time, he enjoyed barbecuing, frying chicken and being the life of the party. Whether it was at a family gathering or a casual
get-together, you could always find him at the domino table, trash-talking with family and friends, rolling his cooler, and playing the blues. His laughter was infectious, and he made sure everyone around him had a great time.
Darris exemplified humility, compassion, and an open-minded spirit. He welcomed everyone into his circle, always extending kindness and generosity without hesitation. His warm heart and outgoing
personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Darris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Henrietta Jones; his loving and devoted mother, Earnestine Alexander; and his
uncle, William Jones.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted fiancé, Korina Yell; daughters, Diamond Myers and Jazzlyn Oliver; sons, Christian Myers, Caden Myers, and Karter Myers; brother, Michael Jones
(LaTrina); sister, Jennifer Myers; stepfather, Dan Alexander; stepchildren, LaBarbara and Johnathan Butler; nieces, Shanequa Oen and Journey McDaniel; nephew, Robert Jones; along with a host of cousins, step-siblings, and many other family members and friends. Darris will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
