David was kind, loving and a character. He touched the hearts of many that he came in contact with and those that were around him. He had a great memory of past events and had many great stories to tell us from the time he was young till recent days. David loved to play the guitar, sing, golf, fish, bowl, hunt and watch sports. Especially the Houston Astros!! He would always call family members to talk about sports and tried to find out who was going to win. He would also call us and give us updates on the daily news and ask if it was raining or snowing in Delaware. He lived a great life and fought every day for the remainder of his last 2 years. He always asked us if we wanted to see his cancer chicken and if we wanted to eat some even though he said he didn’t want to eat chicken after seeing it. He also told us that he had 9 lives and wanted to live as long as he could. He survived 4 of those 9 lives with many challenges but kept his head up, smiled and told funny stories every day. He left us with his boxing gloves on and will be missed dearly by all who loved him and knew him.
