

David J. DiMatteo, Sr., 68, a proud resident of Houston for 18 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family on August 17. David was born in Montclair, NJ. He was a long time resident of Livingston, NJ and a graduate of Livingston High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and May Roe DiMatteo, brothers, Anthony, Michael and Frankie, sister Joyce Costa, and his brother-in-law, Anthony Reynolds. He is survived by Theresa DiMatteo, his loving wife of 16 years, son, David J. DiMatteo, Jr., sisters, Margaret Reynolds, Frances Bini and husband Steven, step-son David Richie and wife Angela, grandsons Thomas and Christian Richie, step-daughter Leslie Wilcox and husband Matthew, sister-in-law Anna Tilotta and husband Robert, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. David had a big personality and loved life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and brought a smile to everyone he met. David was an animal lover, enjoyed gardening, and worked on many DIY projects. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service for David will take place on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th St., Houston, Texas 77018. His service will also be available to join via livestream on Pat H. Foley's Facebook page. A link below will take you directly to the page.
