David Wayne Holden, 59, of Miramar Beach, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2026. Born on September 15, 1966, in Houston, Texas, David lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his career, and the passions that brought him joy.
David earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from The University of Mississippi and went on to build a distinguished career with Fisher Scientific, where he worked for 30 years in laboratory equipment sales. Throughout his career, he was known not only for his professional expertise but also for his commitment to mentoring and developing young sales professionals.
A long time aviation enthusiast, David’s great passion was flying his beloved 1974 Beechcraft V-tail Bonanza. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi, the American Bonanza Society, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Whether attending air shows, tinkering in his hangar, or taking to the skies, aviation brought him immense fulfillment.
David’s greatest love, however, was his family. He cherished time spent with those he loved and found joy in hunting, mountain hiking in Colorado, pack-in camping adventures, Sunday afternoons on the couch, and driving his Tesla. He was famous among family and friends for his Excel spreadsheets, his talent for managing and mentoring young sales talent, and his baking, especially croissants, cheesecake, and Mrs. Norton’s biscuits.
David was preceded in death by his father, Willis Wayne Holden.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Holden; his mother, Elizabeth Holden; his brother, Mike Holden; his nephew, Chevas Holden; his step-son, Kris Meyer and wife Jennifer; his step-daughter, Randi Bullinger and husband Ashton; and his cherished grandchildren, Reagan Maxwell, Tessa Meyer, Taylor Meyer, Kolton Meyer, and Connor Bullinger.
