As I always knew him, were friends from High School beginning in about 1958,
We had many interesting days together as teen agers growing up in Waco, Texas.
Participated in the Civil Air Patrol Squadron, where Elson was on the Drill Team, one sharp dude.
Went to Civil Air Patrol summer camp at the then James Connally Air Force Base.
Car crazy kids, drag raced cars around Waco, he in his 1952 Ford and later a 1955 Ford and me in my 1949 Ford and later 1956 Chevy.
Old photo of Elson, Loy Meeks and Jan Huruska working on my old Chevy---what fun days.
Went to the Drive In Movies (sometimes with friends in the trunk) and double dated many times.
Joined the United States Air Force together in 1961.
In later years, visited with Elson when in Houston and stayed in contact by phone.
He will ever live in my memory as a best friend.
Our condolences to family and friends.
