David John Morrow, age 74, passed away on September 17, 2026. He was born on June 8, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Ford John Morrow and Helen Irene Morrow. David attended Corpus Christi Elementary School and Marian High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Houston. He remained a loyal Cougar and enjoyed attending University of Houston games throughout his life.
After his father passed away in 1978, David lived with and cared for his mother, Helen, for more than 40 years. His devotion to her was a reflection of the steady and faithful man he was.
David's career included work at Teledyne, time as a pharmacy technician, and a short period as a teacher. He went on to spend 20 years at Lowe's, where he especially loved working in Lawn and Garden. His Catholic faith was central to his life, and he was very active in his church and his neighborhood.
David had a curious mind and a lifelong love of learning. He enjoyed geology, meteorology, physics, and mathematics, and he took a keen interest in natural supplements. He stayed active through running, walking, fishing, and hiking. He loved trips to Rockport to fish, always paired with a plate of chicken fried steak at Charlotte Plummer's Restaurant. He treasured his visits to Big Bend National Park and to the battlefields of Texas independence, especially Goliad, the Alamo, and the San Jacinto Battlefield.
Family and friends were very important to David, especially his last remaining brother, Greg. The two loved traveling and going out to eat together. He also cherished his neighbors and the many friendships he made over the years.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ford John Morrow and Helen Irene Morrow, and his brother, Jeffrey Morrow. He is survived by his brother, Gregory Morrow; his nieces and nephew, Michael Morrow, Debbie Flores, and Jennifer Luckock; his great nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Ava, Adelyn, Abigail, Kira, Gavin, Emery, Benjamin, and Madeleine; and many cousins.
David will be remembered for his faith, his curiosity, and his devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed.
