David Lee Quinn
July 29, 1944 – July 22, 2019
David Lee Quinn, 74, of Conroe, Texas, entered into rest on July 22, 2019. He was born in Arlington, Virginia on July 29, 1944 to parents Josie May Patton and James Edward Quinn.
David enlisted in the United States Air Force in February of 1963 at the age of 18, and dutifully served his Country for 4 years while specializing as an Air Policeman. During that time, he received the Armed Forces Exemplary Medal for his duties, as well as the National Defense Service Medal. In 1967, David was relieved from active duty with a rank of Airman 1st Class. He went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Theology from Bob Jones University.
On April 4, 1974, David was lucky enough to marry the love of his life, Susan Yoho Quinn, and together they shared 45 years of wedded bliss. He had a career in Management with Food Services for Giant Foods, Winn Dixie, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver’s, and Sambo. David was passionate about serving the Lord and winning souls in His name, loving his family, enjoying life to the fullest, and keeping a healthy coffee habit.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Quinn; children, David Quinn, Jr. and Melissa Morris; grandchildren, Ashley Sinclair and Christopher Quinn; and brother, Ralph Quinn.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life service will commence at 12:00 p.m., after which he will be escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, where he will be laid to rest with honors.
Following the committal ceremony, David’s family would like to invite his friends and loved ones to a reception held in the Magnolia Room of American Heritage from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to continue in fellowship and the sharing of his memory.
