Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a great friend and will always be remendered by my family. He was always quick to lend a friend a helping hand  and will be loved by all he touched. Thank you

Stephanie and family: 

I was very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. It has to be most difficult for you and your family. The best among us are quite irreplaceable, and this certainly describes your father. I knew him in high school, in La Grange. In my own mind I can only say a prayer for Dave, in the land where he now is, and for you and all your family.

David was one of 9 close friends in our High School in La Grange, IL.  He was always lively and iterested in everything from sports to studies, to fun with a variety of friends.  Although after our college years, we saw each other only a few times, we kept in touch annually with Christmas card notes and occasional phone calls.  
    Stephanie,Colby and other family and friends, you have my sincere sympathy.  He will be missed.  Although David is no longer accessable to us, I believe the soul goes on.  Where there is no time, no space David is free from illness; his ever- changing form is no longer needed. As a Christian this gives me some comfort.  Anything that is universal for all has something more joyous than we know.  Those of us who knew him as a teenager tend to think of him as that same young and happy guy.  We visited his parents and his brother in their home in Illinois.  

As a dad and a grandfather, Dave was blessed.  The good memories are lasting. 
  We hope this sad time will keep us all mindful that life is short and we should be as non-controversial and wonderful as Dave.
