February 3, 1959 – March 28, 2019
David Torres was born on February 3, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Gloria and Joseph Torres. David passed away on Thursday March 28, 2019 at the age of 60. David is survived by 2 sons – David Lee and Michael J, 1 daughter – Kristi Michelle, many grandchildren and his girlfriend – Vera.
David can be remembered as a strong-willed, free-spirited man, with a heart of gold. He was a gentle giant who didn’t require much to be happy. He was known for lending a hand to anyone in need without expecting anything in return.
If you knew David, you know he loved to laugh and tell stories. He always had one too many jokes and knew just how to catch you off guard with his humor. If you were around David, you definitely had a smile on your face.
David was one of a kind – such a strong, humble and loving man.
We are all thankful and blessed to have crossed paths with him.

What can I say about David that everyone doesn't know?? Not much!
He was generous to a fault. Loved beyond words. Kindness doesn't even come close to explaining his gentle spirit. His laugh was loud. Everyone has a crazy story to tell, and in the end of that story I'm sure you'll be laughing. He was a funny a guy. Definitely always making people laugh and smile.
He loved his little Rosie! Boy, did he ever.
And, he loved my Aunt Vera until the day he passed away.
Rest easy my friend, you'll be dearly missed, but your love and laughter will forever live in our hearts.

In loving memory of David Torres our friend and my best friend Vera's companion of so many years. Our hearts goes out to Vera and David's children, he spoke so loving of you all with so much pride in his children and their accomplishments and his never ending love for Vera.
My friend we will miss you dearly and your crazy self.
Know that you will not be forgotten and we will watch over your girl for you and call or text her 30 to 50 times a day in your honor.
Rest in peace and until we see you again.

David was a very kind, giving and hard working person. He always put others before himself. Like an old saying "He would give the shirt off his back". He would give his last dollar to anyone who needed it because he had a heart of GOLD.
DAVID will be missed dearly and I know that he is leaving a huge VOID in the hearts & lives of those that loved, cherished and valued THE PERSON he was.
David is resting from all sorrows and tears in a place of warmth and comfort now.
David can have all the sweets and carbohydrates his heart desires.
No more medications, hospitals and most of all NO more Pain!
I know that David will be living in the hearts of those he touched.....for nothing loved is ever lost nor forgotten.....and he was loved dearly.
David and my brother Willie received their "WINGS" 19 days apart.
I'm sure that my brother is happy to see David. They are where there are no days nor years.....just endless happiness.
....REST IN PEACE

This is the David I knew: His love for his children was not measured by time he shared with them but by the unconditional love he had for them. His love had no boundaries just a need to know "are you ok" I'm here if you need me - and he was always waiting!
He gave his love to my sister Vera 31 years ago and never waivered - it was a forever love. He was a lonely, kind, giving and loving man who always gave without expecting it back. However, he was set in his ways and could act crazy sometimes but TIME brought change.
He accepted the gift of salvation last year from my cousin Pastor Rachel Hernandez from SA. He was like a child excited and wanted to know everything. She bought him a Bible which he read with curiosity!
MICHAEL my sister thanks you for stepping up and make heartbreaking decisions for your dad and final arrangement for his journey home. We also hope his children find peace and love as they put him to rest. Know that he loved you'll with all his heart.
We love you David - your legacy lives on with memories and your children. <3
