I would like to express the sadness that I feel in the passing of our friend Dawit Mesfin. I have known Dawit to be a person who exemplifies the essence of being  very decent and respectful regardless of the situation. I pray that he is in a better place and will not be suffering anymore.I wish his family and friends alike get solace knowing he fought the good fight and has moved on.

There are people whose mere presence make this world a better place. Dawit (Dave) was such a person. I did not have to see you or talk to you often but knowing you are somewhere on this Earth made my heart smile. I love you, my brother. May you dance with the Angels in Heaven!

I wish there was a better way to let you know how much you were revered and respected among your friends and peers. I will feel cheated to have lost an irreplaceable friend like you very untimely. Your passionate life and love of family and friends is unparalleled. 

I will always miss that sparkling smile, joke and teasing I get from you every time we met. The fun days will stay with in my heart forever.  Dawit was a very good friend of our dear brother, Samron. They are both now with our Heavenly Father. They both had so much love to share with everyone they met. I am fortunate to see the love and kindness Dawit carried in his heart. May you rest in eternal peace, Dawit. I will keep your family in my prayers.

The line of life is so flimsy at times and incomprehensible .
I'm  sorry and saddened by the news of the untimely departure of your spouse. These are painful and troubling days . I know that your strength and resilience help you find solace and guide your children and your family. You have also the consoling rock of Dawit's amazing legacy . His intellectual wittiness , his fearless probity , his active engagement, his kindness , his dedicated works , his unfettered pursuit of empathy , his fine towering figure will continue to shine and inspire today's and many generations to come .Please accept and share with your children , Dawit's Mum and siblings and your family  my heartfelt condolences and compassion. Oh Dawit, I am so glad I visited you and Bereket as soon as I could after the Covid shutdown was over.  It was the first time you and I sat together and had long talks on topics ranging from the most anodin to the absolutely existential. Your "triple c" approach to life (cool, calm and collected) which made issues seem so down to earth, was very comforting. I would have loved to be with Bereket  and your boys  to wish you Godspeed on your final journey.  You will be dearly missed.

Lord Heavenly Father, we ask you from the depths of our sorrowing hearts to grant Dawit’s loved ones strength, faith  and peace in this time of loss.  May their memories become joyful, their days enriched with friendship, and their lives encircled by your love. Amen

My path crossed with Dawit’s because he was good friends with my brother. I’m grateful to have known him and to have had deep conversations with him. I felt Dawit’s gentle kindness and thoughtfulness with each interaction I had with him. His tenacity and gratitude through ups and downs is a true testimony to Dawit’s unwavering faith in God. I enjoyed listening to how proud he was of his kids. He recounted their achievements and their support through his journey with warmth and love. May God continue to bless his children in their journey of life. May God comfort his wife, children, family, and friends. May the memories Dawit leaves behind be source of inspiration and strength to all who know and love him.

It was with immense sadness that I learnt the passing of Dawit Mesfin. To his wife, Bereket, his children: Yonathan, Petros, Michael and to his entire family: I am so sorry for your loss. We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Dawit. He was not only my friend husband, but also our dear friend and brother. Dawit was a humble, gentle, and respectful person, who always had a kind word and a cheerful smile for everyone. 

He was a loving father, who celebrated his children's achievements with joy and pride. One of my favorite memories was that he had a passion for capturing some beautiful photographs which we cherish the photos he took of those happy occasions.

Dawit is now in a better place, and we are sure he is watching over us with love and compassion.

We should celebrate the life of this wonderful Human being, Dawit Mesfin. While we grew up with him he was smart, funny, witty, immeasurably kind and genuinely full of life. While we became adults he always checked on everyone that he knew and lent his support and care unwaveringly. He was an outstanding father since he always mentioned his sons and the love he has for them. He loved GOD and his family since he showed it with every move he made. I will miss him dearly. Remembering that he is always smiling down on us. To the family i send my sincere condolences assuring them he is with the heavenly father. That is from a childhood friend and forever brothers.
