July 7, 2019                                 Cousin Morris thank you for the opportunity to be able to have conversations with you and for all the family history  that you passed on to me. I love you and will surely miss you. R.I.P.

My deepest sympathies.May the God of all comfort strengthen the entire family during this time of sorrow. Always remember that God keeps in his memory those whom we lose because they are precious in his eyes (Psalms 116:15)

Deacon Smith was true gift to all.  I will always remember his great sense of humor.  He was man of God that loved his family. He will be missed.

My favorite Uncle who always inspired me to be the best at whatever I chose to be when I "grew up" and never stop following my heart and keeping my faith. He and Aunt Pat will be missed...until we meet again!!

He and Pat made you feel like family.  All the wonderful holiday meals we shared with friends and family not born in Texas. I will truly miss him. He was  loved by so many.

Uncle Morris will truly be missed.  He was such a caring person with a wonderful laugh and spirit.  Thank you for taking care of me when I was in Houston.  I could not have done it without you and Pat.  Till I see you again!

Deacon Smith was like the Godfather to all he came in contact with. Him, Sis. Patricia and Gail always had a kind word. Deacon Smith would always keep you on your ties as him and I played with the computers. I will always
remember his kindness and great sense of humor.

Uncle Morris will be truly missed. He always called to check on me. The love he and Aunt Pat had was poured into everyone they met. Gail you have another beautiful angel to watch over you. Love you


Deacon Charles M Smith was my Godfather, my second Dad and a true gift from God. I feel so blessed to have been nurtured by the Smith family since age 14. I owe so much to these people of God. Poppa Smith was a true husband, father and Christian man. Joye M Carter, MD

My condolences to my cousin Gail. Morris was a loving and caring person. My sister and brothers used to have great fun at his and Patricia's home in Indianapolis. Stay strong, Gail. You know God has him now. Reunited with his sweet wife. 

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Deacon Smith took me under his wing when I came to Firstmet 21 years ago.  I remember putting down sod with him  at the new building and he told me about the Brotherhood meeting and why I should attend.  Deacon Smith always had a kind and supporting word for me.  I will miss him tremendously.

You have been such a blessing to me, my wife and family. You will forever be in our heart. Rest In Peace my friend. 

You will be truly missed and never forgotten. You and Ms. Smith was such an inspiration to the kids and I and we will always cherish the memories we have.
