

Celebrating Her Journey
Debra Gail Douglas was born on September 13, 1955 to Harry James McGee and Erma McGee in Houston, Texas. After fighting a long battle for life, Debra passed away peacefully, at the age of 67 in Katy, Texas on April 18, 2023. She was surrounded by those who loved her greatly.
She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, Texas in 1974. She attended Texas Women’s University College of Nursing in Denton, Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She returned to Houston, TX and began her career at Methodist Hospital Medical Center.
Debra was loyal, caring, courageous, and hopeful. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She accomplished the status of Major in the United States Army. She served in the Persian Gulf War.
She married Anthony Douglas of Houston, TX. Anthony was the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister (Jacqueline Jefferson).
She leaves in God’s care and to cherish her memory: one brother, Harold James McGee and his wife Claire of Houston, TX; one sister, Patsy Williams of Spring, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation for Debra will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral services will follow immediately from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The service committal will be held at Houston National Cemetery 10401 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038 from 12:45pm to 1:00pm.
