

Delight “Dee” Rankin Kinzer, age 94, passed away on Monday, the 16th of May 2016, in Houston. Dee was born on the 12th of February 1922, in Brenham, Texas, before moving to Houston, where she resided for ninety-two years.
Dee was a true southern lady, polite and caring. She was devoted to her family and had a great passion for preserving the family history and heritage. Among her many interests were antiques and nurturing her garden.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Wayne Kinser, Sr.; son, Gordon Wayne Kinser, Jr.; and brother, Ray Rankin. She is survived by her son, Larry Rankin Kinser of Oceanside, California; grandson, John Wayne Kinser of London, England; and niece, Margaret Ann Clark of Hockley, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 19th of May, in the Parlor and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Friday, the 20th of May, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.
Immediately following, friends are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby Grand Foyer.
The interment will follow the reception, via an escorted cortege, at Magnolia Cemetery in Houston.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to James Williams, Margaret Ann Clark and family, Margaret Welch, Kathryn Kinser, Randee Nanez, and various nieces, and nephews, for their love and support.
