

Deloris Ann Harris was born June 9, 1946 in Liberty, Texas to the late Rev. Stafford Sr. and Mable Stephens. She was married to the late Charles J. Harris who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Stanley E. Stephens and Stafford Jr. Stephens; aunts and uncles; nieces, Zythia and Jada Chandler; and nephews Timothy Santee, Milton Santee and Rev. Steve Martin.
She received the Lord in her life at seven years old at Evergreen Baptist Church. Later, at the age of eighteen years old, she joined Holy Temple of Jesus Christ #11 under Pastor L.B. Johnson where she got saved, baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
After marriage she joined Evangelistic Revival Center under the late Pastor Jerry Chandler. She remained there as a member under the direction of Pastor B. Chandler until her death. She attended elementary, middle, and high school at Carverdale High School in Houston, Texas after moving from Liberty, Texas. After completing high school she attended business school with a major in stenography and shorthand writing. She was employed at St. Anthony Hospital for many years until she retired.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters; Cohelia Santee; three daughters of Houston, Texas; Pastors Bernard and Joanne McAfee; one son and two daughters of Pearland, Texas; Pastor Bobbie Chandler; two daughters and four sons of Channelview, Texas; Missionary Deborah Vinson; one son of Houston, Texas; one god-daughter, Nitiya Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
While at Evangelistic Revival Center she was a faithful and dedicated member who loved to sing, cook, and travel. She loved her pastor, always ready to help, testify, give of her funds, and read the Word of God. She was a loving wife who loved her husband dearly and was always ready to entertain when company came to her house. She will always be remembered for her great hospitality.
