Dear Kathleen - I’m overwhelmed with sadness at hearing of Denis’ passing. The tears make it hard to write down everything I want to say. We’ve known each other for so long yet our journeys in life seem to have drifted apart. So many great memories! I remember spending a week with you guys in New Mexico at Angel Fire driving around on mountain trails in Denis’ Bronco. I’ll also never forget Denis helping me bury my first wife Janice. In my life’s story, you have truly been one of my best friends. I really miss you guys and hope we can reconnect in the days to come. Please accept my sympathy and love, Tom Kelly

Denis, I will miss you so much, playing cards, camping (what happens in the camp stays there) and most of all your company and friendship. It was a honor sharing so many good times in our 47 year friendship. I love you as a brother. Thanks for allowing me to be your sous chef and teaching me so much about Texas country music. Rest In Peace my friend/brother.
