

October 3, 1946, in Framingham, Massachusetts to Shirley and Francis L. Caputo.
Dennis grew up in Upton, Massachusetts. He graduated from Nipmuc Regional High School. After High School he attended The University of Massachusetts at Lowell and obtained his B.S. in Plastics. He continued his education at Clarkson College in Potsdam, New York where he received an M.S. in Industrial Management. Moving to Houston in 1972 he attended The University of Houston at Clear Lake and earned a M.S. in Environmental Management and then a M.S. in Theology after attending Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas and The Houston Graduate School of Theology.
Dennis was proud to serve in The United States Navy in 1970-1971, during the Viet Nam Era.
He was stationed in Pensacola, Florida. He was in Officer Candidate School and was in the Naval Flight program. He flew 2nd seat on the Grumman - A6 Intruder. He flew on and off the U.S.S. Lexington.
Dennis had a vast career and a multitude of achievements, eventually becoming owner and CEO of Quest Consulting, Inc. During his professional environmental career, he also created a US patent on “Metal Shredder Residue – based landfill cover”. Dennis also served on various Professional Committees and was a member of multiple Professional Societies. Dennis was honored in the Who’s Who Environmental Registry and Who’s Who Honored Professional.
Dennis found time to also pursue his other passions of ministering, birding, photography and fishing. He Pastored a United Methodist Church in Boling, Texas, as well as having multiple birding pictures published along with a tremendous amount of photographs published.
Throughout Dennis’ life and all of his professional achievements, his most prized treasure was his family. He leaves his wife, Cathy, children Carrie, Nicole, Tabitha, Alex, Mackenzie, Emmy and Jillian, his 6 grandchildren, Caitlin, Cole, Bradley, Ellie, Nia and Jonathan, and his 2 great grandchildren Sawyer and Gavin, siblings, Dinah, Darryl, Garrett and Lance and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Shirley Caputo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00PM at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, 77079. The inurnment will be private with the US Navy Color Guard present.
