Denny, as he is known, was born on August 7, 1938 on Magazine Street in New Orleans to Denton Sr. and Mattie Ducker.
After a couple of years playing basketball at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College, Denny began working in the oilfield. In 1964, he would marry Brenda, a marriage that stood the test of time for 62 years and took them from Franklin County, MS, to Natchez, MS, to Slidell, LA, and ultimately Houston, TX.
Denny proudly served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. His work in the oilfield spanned decades. It was a world that made sense to him. Hard work was rewarded and he knew it was the rig hands that got the job done at the end of the day.
Denny was a believer in Jesus Christ and trusted in His sacrifice for his salvation.
Over the years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. Denny believed in hard work and sweat equity. The one constant was being an active member in churches in whatever area the family resided. From Sunday School, work days, and greeting folks as they arrived. It was a central joy in his life.
Denny is survived by his Wife, Brenda; daughter Stacey Dossett (Allen) Natchez, MS; son Tony Ducker (Kim) Petal, MS. Three grand-children and six great grand-children. As well as relatives in Mississippi and Texas.
