Di Dinh Nguyen was born in Can-Tho, Vietnam, and devoted his life to serving the Lord with humility, wisdom and unwavering devotion. A gifted Master Jeweler by trade and a faithful servant of God by calling, he lived a life marked with integrity, generosity and courageous faith.
He married the love of his life, Vo Thi Nghiem, and together they shared a remarkable life journey across four different countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, France and the United States. The journey they traveled was anything but easy. However, in moments of uncertainty, they walked hand in hand, trusting in God’s providence and grace. As a result, they witnessed God’s power in their lives and in others.
Through God’s grace, they reflected the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways. As a Master Jewelry Designer, he demonstrated extraordinary craftsmanship and artistry. He approached his work with patience, excellence, passion and creativity, bringing beauty and precision into every work of art. He loved his profession, but he treasured people most deeply. He was known for his quiet strength, kindness and generous spirit.
As a Pastor, he was ordained by the Christian & Missionary Alliance and dedicated his life to building God's Kingdom. His ministry extended across continents, beginning in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and continuing in Paris, France, where in 1969 he partnered with Reverend Daniel Bordreuil to establish the first Vietnamese Church community in Boulogne-Billancourt. Years later, following God's leading to the United States, he founded the Vietnamese First Alliance Church in Houston, Texas, where he faithfully served as Senior Pastor until his retirement. His ministry was characterized by a shepherd's heart, a love for God's Word, and a deep commitment to serving His people.
Our beloved Dad loved the Lord wholeheartedly, lived with deep convictions and a courageous faith - a life marked by God. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, community and all those who were blessed to know him.
Rev. Di Dinh Nguyen was predeceased by his beloved wife and is survived by their seven children and their spouses, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
