IN THE CARE OF
Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek
Diana passed away at her home on Sunday, May 8, 2022. She was born on September 16, 1953 to C. Russell and Alva Lawrence Belcher. She abandoned the humidity of Texas for the greenery of Virginia to attend Hollins University and later linguistics opportunities in France, but was seduced back to the states by a Beaumont boy with a pretty smile and a guitar. Forever grateful for that are her surviving two children, Ashleigh Blevins and her husband Nate and James Henderson and his wife Kelly, and four grandchildren, Talitha and Noah Blevins and Marjorie and Gwendolyn Henderson, along with two brothers, Pete and Russell Belcher and a plethora of nieces and nephews. "Di" or "Mrs. H.", as she was widely and lovingly known, kept her doors wide open to everyone. She proudly took on the roles of avid gardener, lover of furry creatures, loyal confidant and generous hostess, as she gleefully shocked and delighted a room with her candid commentary and extravagant storytelling. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM at the University Chapel of the A.D. Bruce Religion Center, 3841 Cullen Blvd, Houston, TX 77004. In lieu of flowers please donate to Citizens for Animal Protection.
