Dimitri went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2017, surrounded by his family, each of whom he had touched in a unique way. He was a child full of life and at only twelve years old, he was a true hero. Despite being the youngest in his family, Dimitri was a powerful presence. His energy and his smile would light up any room, while his soft eyes melted the hearts of those around him.
Dimitri was truly a free spirit. He conquered Athens, Greece on a skateboard. He was never the one to say no to his friends who he loved so much. When taking a break from skateboarding, Dimitri loved being in front of the computer and even created his own YouTube channels. He brought his creativity to life when he produced his short videos. He could spend hours playing his favorite computer and video games while chatting with his friends across the world. When he wasn’t playing tricks on his mom, he enjoyed spending time with his brother and sister. His wish was to grow up and sit as co-pilot with his father.
We are going to miss the sound of his contagious laughter. Dimitri showed us the true meaning of pure, unconditional love. His personality could easily gravitate to any age group – from his youngest cousin all the way to his elderly grandmother – Dimitri was very affectionate and caring towards others. Though the years were few, the memories will last a lifetime.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Dimitri was born with a rare heart condition. He is survived by his parents Stylianos and Eirini; sister Eugenia; brother Yanni; maternal Grandmother Maria; his Great Uncles and Aunts, cousins and extended family and friends.
