Dixie Darlene Sanders

On February 11, 2020 Dixie Sanders passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 82 years old. She was born Dixie Darlene Koser in Paris, Arkansas, and moved to Houston, Texas at age 3 where she lived most of her life until moving to Alvin, Texas in 2001 to be closer to her grandchildren. Dixie was the mother of two daughters, grandmother of 4, and great-grandmother of 7.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Robert Ray Sanders and granddaughter Margaret Monet Lee. She is survived by her sister Terry Campos, daughters Kimmy Culpepper and Tammy Lee and husband Gary Lee, niece Richelle Robertson and husband Kevin, grandchildren Devin Delagarza and husband Daniel, Justin Culpepper and wife Amber, Shannon Windsor and husband Colin, and Garett Lee, great-niece and nephew Ashlyn and Austin Robertson, and great-grandchildren Gavin and Presley Walker, Alana and Olivia Delagarza, Addison Culpepper, and Rowan and Liam Windsor.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

I loved my Momma Dixie she help Garett and I travel to KarateEvents around the country , she was pure Texas , just like her daughter Tammy , forty years ago Bob and Dixie maybe didn’t understand my Karate instinct but they accepted me into their familyand help me so much I will miss her , she had sand as they say in Texas.

Dixie was such a sweetheart! She loved my family as her own. Always had a smile and willing to help with everything the kids needed. The door to the house was always open for whatever we needed. Our sympathy and love for the family. She will be missed by many. Kadra Ramsey and family
