Dolly Mae Elizabeth Bristol

Dolly Mae Elizabeth Bristol born January 11, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Dolly Bristol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a real zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Dolly was an avid golfer and a gifted artist. She also sewed and loved to go to the river boats to do a little gambling. To quote a dear friend, she was an “unforgettable character” and she will be missed dearly. Her struggle is over and now it is time to celebrate her life. Dolly is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Rick Bristol; parents, Hardy and Christine Wicks, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Francis Wicks. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Barry Bagley of Houston, Texas; son, and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dorothy Bristol of Tomball, Texas. Dolly also leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Travis Bagley, Lauren Bagley, Clay Bagley, Zachary Bristol, Aubrianne Bristol and Christopher Bristol. A memorial service is to be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North in Houston with Dr. Jonathan Bynum, Lead Pastor of Bear Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
