Dolores Ann Martin

Dolores was born on June 29, 1929, in Houston, Texas, to Sam and Susie Macey. She graduated in 1946 from Saint Agnes Academy and in 1950 from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. Dolores married Marvin Martin the following year. They were married for 53 years and were the parents of three children.

A retired physical education teacher, Dolores loved encouraging people to get and stay active. She taught at Pershing Junior High, Johnston Junior High, and Sharpstown Junior and Senior High schools. She was also a charter member of Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Teri Dee Martin of Austin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Susan Martin of Missouri City, and Robert and Patty Martin of Houston; three grandsons, Taylor Martin, Matthew Carter, and Travis Martin; one sister, Antoinette Roll; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her brother Jimmy Macey, sisters Lillian Lucadou, Mary Usher, and Dominican Sister Theresa Macey.

The family would like to thank the staffs of The Buckingham, The Farrington, Vosswood Nursing Center, and Garden Terrace for the care and attention they gave Dolores in her later years.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on July 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A graveside service will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

A catered reception will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on the same day.
