Kathy and I were sad to hear about Don. He was always a pleasure to be with and always had a good story on hand to share.  We are thinking of you during this difficult time.

Don was always larger than life to me when growing up.  Guns, Cadillacs, Buicks with huge engines, player pianos, boats, big fish, cops, good scotch, you name it- Don was the guy that had it.  Our families always had fun, and Don was the guy with the big smile.  We've enjoyed vacations and river trips together, and never knew when we'd get a call from him out of the blue.  Just checking in, of course.  Stephanie and I miss him and all you Cursons alot, and wish you all our best.

It was an honor to have been an employee of Painter-Reichman and to have worked with Don.  He and Donnie treated me like family, and Don always gave me such great words of wisdom when things weren't always going the way they should, and he could always tell me a story that would make me laugh.  He meant a lot to me, and he taught me a great deal.  I know he will be missed by all.  Dee Stevens

We were so sorry to hear about Don's passing.  We had no idea he was so ill.  We  sure wished you could have made a trip to the Hill Country.  We are always thinking  and talking about  all the good times we had at the beach. You are all in our  thoughts and prayers.

Hello Pat, I am one of your neighbors who had a great deal of respect for your very kind husband.  He was such a strong presence on our block who could always be counted on to give cheer to our day.  I especially enjoyed Ginger and Jake, and before them, Sugar and Candy. One fond memory was of your Don saying how much he dreaded pulling up the pansies from the yard when the weather became too hot for them.  He will be sorely missed.  I live across the street  three houses down from you and was sad to hear that your husband, Don, had died.  We knew he wasn't feeling well when he stopped riding around in your front yard on his mover and walking his pugs.  After we first got our little terrier mix dogs with the hair over their eyes from the animal shelter, your husband walked up our driveway smiling to get a better look at them.  I told my wife that I would have gladly traded them for your well-behaved dogs.

 Your decorations at Christmas have been a highlight of the neighborhood.  We especially enjoyed the Santa with sunglasses on the motorcycle, which your husband would diligently inflate every night after the air leaked out, except last year.

I regret reading of Don's passing this week.  I have known  Pat and Don Curson since the early 50's as we were next door neighbors on Cheshire Lane.  My Deepest Sympathy to Pat, Donnie, Kathy and all the Curson Family.

Burt & I and all of our family will treasure the happy memories of 51 years with our extended family.  We will remember Don as a dearest friend, always ready to have fun or enjoy a new adventure.  He was a thoughtful, generous, kind, upbeat, brilliant, bombastic guy who loved sharing his big toys.  He loved to laugh & party with good buddies.  A truer, more loyal friend you can't find.  Our love & thoughts are with all of you. The Forssell Family.

I was one of Don's underwriters for 20 yrs at General Accident and Texas Mutual.  In those years, I feel we became friends, and I learned he had a big heart.  One of my fondest rememberances was of him coming to the first house I bought and planting rose bushes while I was at work. It was a great surprise, as we both loved to talk about plants and flowers.  I will miss talking with him, and he will leave a blank space in a lot of lives.
