

A lawyer, artist, draftsman, world traveler and accomplished businessman, his crowning achievement was as the founder and principle designer of the Crème de la Crème chain of preschools. He loved construction and renovation. In addition to numerous houses and apartments, he built a great part of the Houston Crème de la Crème schools himself. He was a devoted husband for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae Honn Babb; and his father, Darrel Babb. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Babb; his son, Sasha Babb; his daughter, Holly Babb; his son in law, Scott Seymour; his grandson, Maxwell Seymour.
The Family wishes to thank everyone at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center especially the Leukemia specialists, the Chaplains and the Critical Care Team.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from half-past five o’clock in the afternoon until half-past eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 3rd of June, in the Library and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 4th of June, Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where the Rev. Mark Welshimer, Pastor of Young Adults at First Methodist Church of Houston, is to officiate.
The interment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
After the graveside service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held at a venue to be announced during the services.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that contributions in Donald’s name be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Texas Gulf Coast Chapter 5005 Mitchelldale Suite 115, Houston, TX 77092-7230, or the charity of choice.
