Donald Ray Carter was born July 29, 1976 to Wille Faye Armstrong-Dow and Donald Ray Hazley, the second of three children in Houston, TX. He attended Kashmere Gardens Elementary, Francis Scott Key Middle School and Kashmere High School.
In earlier years, Donald Ray Carter was known as Jr. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church.
Donald was a jack of all trades and mastered the trucking industry for 22 years. Jr. was one of a kind. He was a giving individual and always the life of the party which attracted many people to him leaving a lifetime of great memories. He had a big heart, thoughtful generous, Humorous, kind, appreciative and had one of the biggest hearts. He was an amazing cook and entertainer.
Jr had a deep commitment and love for his children and family. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.
On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Donald Ray Cater gained his wings and transitioned to be with the Lord.
Donald was preceded in death by his Father Donald Ray Hazley, daughter Lenette “Cacky” Lee, Grandfather Author Armstrong, Grandmother Faye Armstrong, Uncle Author Armstrong Jr (AJ), Uncle Don Wayne Armstrong and Uncle Julias Armstrong.
Donald is survived by his loving children Keontae Jackson, Dontrell Carter, Xavier Carter and Dontrae Brown; mother Wille Faye Armstrong-Dow, stepfather Ray Dow, sister -Keisha Carter, brother-Micheal Carter, and stepbrother Jeffery Fairow. Nieces and Nephews: Irashanique Wysinger, Kaylan Bankston, Michael Carter, Jazmyn Carter, Ayden Edwards, Jordon Maxie, JaDai Maxie, JaDon Maxie. Aunts and Uncles: Harvey Armstrong, Micheal Armstrong, Shirley Thomas and his Fiancé, Threjolyn Hill.
