On June 19, 2025, our beloved husband/father Donald Wayne Langford peacefully entered the presence of our Lord and Savior. He spent 76 wonderful years creating a legacy of love and deep family connection.
Don was born in LaGrange, Georgia on August 7, 1948. In early childhood, his mother moved him and his brothers to Houston, TX. After graduating high school, he pursued college at the University of Houston with a focus in Biology. In 1968, he answered his call to serve his country and spent six years in the US Army. Stationed at the US Army hospital in Munich Germany, Don served as an autopsy technician, dedicating countless hours to the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, and hematology. Upon his return to the US, he settled back in Houston, TX where he began work as a laboratory manager at Citizen’s General Hospital. It was there that Don met the love of his life, Gloria. The two were married in 1982.
After marriage, Don moved the family to Manvel, TX and changed career paths to become a chemical operator at Crown Central Petroleum, a position he held with pride for 35 years. He loved his work and built friendships that lasted a lifetime. He dearly loved his home, "The L Ranch", as he liked to call it. Over the years he raised cattle, chickens, ducks and various other farm animals. He was a quiet-natured, peaceful man and designed his life as such.
Don was a devoted member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church; he truly loved his faith. His family was his ultimate pride and joy. Don would undoubtedly say we were his biggest accomplishment. He loved with his whole heart being a husband, dad, and pawpaw. His love was unwavering.
