Donald Edward Vrba

Donald Edward Vrba of Richmond, Texas, was born on the 18th of August 1943, and died on Thursday, the 12th of August 2010. He was born in West, Texas and married Sandra Mikeska Vrba, on the 31st of August 1963.

“Big” Don was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. He was passionate about golf and enjoyed travelling the globe to play a round and shop for the latest technology in golf clubs and accessories to shave precious strokes from his game.

He is survived by his wife Sandra; his son, Donald Vrba and his wife Shannon and their two daughters Chandler and Darby; his daughter, Rebecca and her husband John Dugat; his sister, Eva and her husband Ramsey Farley; his brother, Wayne Vrba; his brother, Pat Vrba and his wife Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two until five o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 15th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at five o’clock.

The Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 16th of August, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 South 4th Street in Richmond, TX, where the Rev. Ralph Roberts, Pastor, is to celebrate.

The Rite of Committal will follow, via an escorted cortege, in the Mausoleum at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
