Donato Rivera Sr. is preceded in death by his parents Liborio and Isabel Rivera and his grandson Jacob Garcia.
Donato Rivera Sr. was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico to Liborio and Isabel Rivera. He married Evangelina Mata on November 19, 1969. He worked as a carpenter and retired at age 65. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys win 5-SuperBowls.
Donato Rivera Sr. is survived by his spouse Evangelina Rivera and seven children; Donato Rivera Jr. (Melinda Rivera), Maribel Rivera Garcia (David Garcia), Ricardo Rivera (Lourdes Rivera), Beatriz Rivera Gonzalez (Michael Gonzalez), Alex Rivera (Esther Rivera), Kelly Rivera Guerrero (Joshua Guerrero), Roy Rivera (Marixa Rivera), 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8pm and Rosary at 7pm on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Monday, March 13th at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
