Donna Lu Schramm

Donna Heldt Schramm passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Donna and her twin brother, Donald were born on a farm north of Sarles, North Dakota on July 23, 1929. Donna graduated from Sarles High School in 1947 and attended Valley City College for a year before graduating from South Dakota State University. Donna taught elementary school in South Dakota before moving to Great Falls, Montana. In Great Falls, Donna met her husband Joe, a pilot at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They were married in 1956 and began their adventure traveling the US and Europe as Joe’s service transfers moved them frequently. Their daughter Julie was born in 1957.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Schramm, her parents, Alex and Muriel Heldt, and brother, Donald Heldt. She is survived by daughter, Julie Braly and her husband, Locke, and grandchildren Adams and Elisabeth Braly, all of Houston, Texas. Burial will be at Houston National Cemetery and no services will be held.
