

Donald Wayne Harman, Jr., “Donnie” was born on May 20, 1960 and passed away on January 8, 2015. Donnie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Judy, and their son Trey. He is also survived by his parents, Don & Mary Harman, his sisters Terri Crutchfield and Cindy Hollis and brother-in-law, Tom Hollis plus several cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and hundreds of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James D. and Ruby Bloodworth and Claude and Vivian Harman.
Donnie was a 1983 graduate of Sam Houston State University holding a BS in Business Management. He was the co-owner of Texas Metal Equipment Company of Houston and Dallas, TX, a 3rd generation family business. Donnie lived life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors, enjoying many sports such as hunting, fishing, water skiing, snow skiing, and he drove the family tractor with gusto. He was a very genuine and hard-working man who believed in dealing with people with absolute honesty and integrity. Donnie was unpretentious and compassionate towards everyone he met. He discouraged the holding of grudges, encouraged others not to do so either, and was a believer in salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Visitation for Donnie will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating his life will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Concluding services, Donnie will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his memory to the Medina Children's Home, 21300 State Highway 16 North, Medina, TX 78055. May the soul of our dearly departed Donnie rest in peace, and may light perpetually shine upon him.
