

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Blevins; her parents, Victor and Ella Hopfe; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Edward Caesar; her brother-in-law, Joe Chevalier; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clifford and Lucille Hill; along with other family members and close friends.
She is survived by her sister, Vicki Chevalier; daughter, Donna Blevins Klare and husband, Dennis; and her son, Robert O. Blevins and wife, Susan; 3 grandchildren: Bonnie Klare Lakey and husband, Aaron; Steven Klare and fiancé, Tiffany Carson; Jennifer Blevins Nation and husband, John; and 7 great-grandchildren: Samantha Klare, Emma Lakey, Katie Lakey, Ruby Lakey, Evie Nation, Ellie Nation, Kaylee Klare.
Doris moved to Houston with her family during her elementary years. She attended George Washington Jr. High where she met her lifelong friends, Adlene Hohlt and Barbara Clowe. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1951.
She was married to the love of her life, James Blevins on November 10, 1951. They were married for 52 years.
Doris worked as a bank teller for many years. Upon her retirement, she and James enjoyed traveling. They were active members of Amegy Bank Star Achievers and the AARP in Jersey Village. They enjoyed many travels and day trips with both groups.
Doris was a long time active member of Advent Lutheran Church. She was active in the Women’s WELCA where she made many lifelong friends.
