Doris was born January 12, 1930 in Marquez, Texas. She resided in Houston, Texas for over 70 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Henderson; mother, Katie Phillips Grubbs; father, Cade Quitman Grubbs; step-mother, Lillian Oleta Grubbs and sister, Madeline Rebecca Plazinich.
She is survived by her sons, Archie Allen Henderson and wife, Sandra and Norman Louis Henderson and wife, Karen; daughters, Lillian Hutchinson Miller and Onie Ryan and husband, Gary; step-son Charles James Henderson and wife, Gerda; step-daughters, Linda Gail Williams, Beth Ann Bruhl and Cheryl Renee Garton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and funeral service Thursday, June 22, 1:30 p.m.; at Brookside Funeral Home.
