Doris Beverly O'Reilly

Born to Marvin and Lydia Porter in Temple, Texas, on March 28, 1922, she was a proud graduate of Park Place Elementary, Dedee Junior High and Milby High School in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Houston. She married Wallace Michael O'Reilly on June 6, 1942. They were married for 62 wonderful years. Doris was an ideal Mother and wife. She was an artist and enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, cake decorating, and cooking. Doris enjoyed hosting parties in her home. She loved her family, friends and everyone she met. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church for over 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wallace Michael O'Reilly, her parents, Marvin and Lydia Porter, and her brother Wayne Porter. She is survived by three sons: Michael Porter O'Reilly and his wife Sylvia of Corpus Christi, Texas; Kyle Wallace O'Reilly and his wife Daisy of Sugar Land, Texas; and Dale Shannon O'Reilly and his wife Mary Ann of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and countless relatives and friends. She loved everyone she met and made people feel better about themselves when they were with her. Special thanks to all the wonderful people at Sunrise of Cinco Ranch where she resided.

A Celebration Service will be held at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, Texas.
