Dorothy Mae James was born May 18, 1931 in Navasota, Texas to Lina and Lee Anderson. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined All Nation Baptist Church. Dorothy met and married Harrison James and four children were born to this union; E'Stella, Harrison, Cherry and Dorothy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena; father, Lee; son, Cherry; daughter, E'Stella; sister, Ruth Thomas; and brother, L. B. Straughter. She departed this life on Monday December 17, 2012 at her residence in Houston, Texas. She leaves to mourn her memories: husband, Harrison; one son, Harrison James; one daughter, Dorothy James; seven grandchildren, Morris, Charles, Artina, Eric, Dominique, Harrison, Vicqueena; and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
