

Dorothy LaGrone was born in Amory, Ms on April 20th 1946, to the late Isaiah and Earlean Davis. She graduated from Shivers High School in 1964. Dorothy met and married the love of her life Charles LaGrone on December 12th 1964. One year later December 21st 1965 she gave birth to her first son Lester D. LaGrone and in January 2nd 1969 she gave birth to Charles O. LaGrone. Dorothy accompanied her husband to Houston TX in 1970 to start on their new journey. Soon after settling in Houston she brought her Parents and siblings to live in Houston with her. In 1975 Dorothy gave birth to her last child and only daughter Tremeka LaGrone- Maxwell. She worked for Save-On that became Walgreens for 20 years. Dorothy loved the Lord and gave her life to Christ early on. She loved her family and would always go out her way to help. Dorothy was the Matriarch of the family and will be missed Tremendously.
Dorothy was preceded in death because her parents Isaiah and Earlean Davis, four brothers; Raymond Davis, CL Davis, Namon Davis, William Davis, Sister; Deborah Westbrook and Son; Lester D. LaGrone.
She is survived by her Husband of 59 years Charles LaGrone, son Charles O. LaGrone, daughter Tremeka LaGrone-Maxwell and Son in love Isaac Maxwell, six grandchildren; Dewayne R. LaGrone, Ciara Wilkerson (Darius Wilkerson), Camry LaGrone, DeJonique Turner, Lessle LaGrone, Cayron LaGrone, three Bonus grandchildren Kendria Barnes, Ebony Hill, Courtney Hamilton, three great grandchildren Kash LaGrone, Raya -Lee Wilkerson, Yasir Wilkerson, one Bonus great grandchild; Ka'Niya Lyons
Brothers and Sisters include Mattie LaGrone-Wofford (Victor), Charlotte Johnson (Herman),
Rosa Gillyard (LaDell), Elaine Boyd (Bertman), Naomi Garcia (Ruben), Aaron Davis (Evelyn), Joe Davis (Rosetta), Kenneth Davis all of Houston Tx; Evelyn Crump (Larry) of Amory Ms; Melvin Davis of Chicago, Illinois. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Rock of Salvation, 4700 Caplin St, Houston, TX 77026, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
