Dorothy Lee Marie Lozano, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in her hometown of Houston, Texas, at the age of 95.
Born on February 11, 1930, in Houston, Dorothy lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She was the heart of her family and a beacon of warmth to everyone who knew her. A devoted mother, she poured her energy into raising her children and later co-founded Lozano Janitorial Service alongside her husband, Carlos Lozano, building a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlos Lozano; her daughter, Linda Marie Villanueva; and her son, Charlie Lozano Jr. Their memories remained close to her heart, and she spoke of them often with love and pride.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Julia Ann Lehmann, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who carry forward her joyful spirit and unwavering kindness. While each name could fill a page, their shared love for “Grandma Dorothy” and “Aunt Dorothy” speaks volumes about the impact she had on generations.
She found joy in the simple pleasures—reading a good book, dancing to her favorite tunes, and indulging in Shipley's donuts. Her laughter was contagious, her smile ever-present, and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved was truly unmatched. Social and spirited, Dorothy had a gift for turning strangers into friends and gatherings into cherished memories.
A viewing will be held on September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077. A church service will follow on September 5, 2025, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1507 Huffmeister Rd., Houston, TX 77065, with burial afterward at Forest Park Westheimer. Family and friends are invited to gather for food and fellowship following the burial.
Dorothy’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
