Dorothy F. Murr passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on December 26, 2023 at the age of 88. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Lee Murr, and their children Michael Murr (Mary Dawn) and Lynda Smith (Brian).
Dorothy was born on August 10, 1935 in Tomball, Texas. She was one of seven children born to Albert and Ethyl Metzler. She attended Tomball High School and then worked for Tennessee Gas Transmission Company where she met the love of her life, Lee. Dorothy devoted her life to taking care of others and cherished her role as a loving wife and mother.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 7pm, with visitation at 6, on January 2 at St. George Christian Orthodox Church (5311 Mercer). A brief graveside prayer service will be held at 10:30am on January 3 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery (13001 Katy Freeway).
