Dorris Gentry was the original "energizer bunny" at Highlands UMC.  She served as delegate to Annual Conference and was always very interested in the "business" of the church.  I traveled with her to and fro across Highlands visiting sick and lonely people.  Her loving attitude was often taken as weakness; however, it she was in your corner - WATCH OUT WORLD.  I regret that I was not able to attend her services due to illness.  Rest Dorris.  Receive the greeting prepared for you since before the world began; Well done, good and faithful servant.

She was a lovely lady, and taught me in Sunday School.  She was wonderful!  I have never forgotten her!

Ms. Gentry was a very loving and kind person who I will dearly miss. My prayers are with you Jim as well as the rest of your family. I love this poem by William Wordsworth and wanted to share it with you and I pray it brings you peace.

What though the radiance which was once so bright Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find Strength in what remains behind;

May peace be with you all in this difficult time and I'm incredibly sorry for your loss, for all of our loss. Ms. Gentry was a true child of God and I will always remember her love and kindness.
