

Mrs. Dory Townley was born December 3, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Rose Marie Sacks. She graduated from Westbury High School in 1975 and then from the University of Houston in 1979. She married her husband, Scott Townley, in 1982 and welcomed her two beloved daughters, Christina and Jennifer, in 1987 and 1992. She passionately served in her community as a public elementary school teacher for 29 years. During her tenure, she touched the lives of hundreds of students at Pecan Grove Elementary School. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, puzzles, and above all, being a grandmother. She was a member of Holy Covenant United Methodist Church and a faithful daughter of the Lord.
Mrs. Dory Townley was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jan and Scott Sacks, and her nephew Eric Sacks. She leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Scott Townley; her daughter Christina and husband Ryan Johnson; her daughter Jennifer and wife Holland Kaplan; her grandsons Henry and Russell Kaplan; her brother David and wife Deana Sacks; her brother Drake and wife Robin Sacks; her brother Edward Sacks; her sister Dawn Sachs; her nephews Jay and Adam Davis, Drake, David, Ryan, Michael, Brian, and Adam Sacks, and Ryan Pollard along with a host of cousins, family, and friends.
Mrs. Dory Townley was a loving wife, mother and friend and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
