Douglas William Wayne Krienke, 61, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021. Doug was born in Houston, Texas on June 13, 1959, to the late Betty and Aretas “Bob” Krienke. He worked at CenterPoint Energy for 38 years as a line locator and corrosion technician.
Doug was known for his love of the outdoors and relished spending time on the farm. He had a passion for hunting and never missed an opportunity to sit in a deer stand. On Sundays you could usually find Doug cooking something on the grill, watching NASCAR, and rooting for his favorite driver, Matt Kenseth or any driver in a Ford. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Doug was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His quick wit, charisma, tenacity, and contagious laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Doug is preceded in death by his father and mother, Bob and Betty Krienke and his sister, Lois Krienke Norwood.
Doug is survived by his daughter Nicole (Daniel) Hernandez, his brothers: Danny (Linda) Krienke, David (Christine) Krienke, and Robert (Diane) Krienke, his sisters: Donna (Harold) Weesner and Deborah (Paul) Byrd, as well as cousins, nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.
