

She is preceded in death by her mother Lu, Tian Yew and father Patriot Lu, Ping Su. Lu, Ping Su was a casualty of war in1942 and was a Diplomat of the Chinese Consulate in Manila, Philippines.
Dr. Lu is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard Nigra; stepchildren Amy Rodriguez & Stephen Scott; brother Lu, Cheng Yang and wife Juanita; nephew Robert Lu and wife; and 2 grand nephews.
Dr. Lu graduated medical school in Manila, Philippines from the University of St. Thomas in 1963. She finished her residency in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lu had a private practice in Houston, Texas since 1988. Her specialty was Internal Medicine. Dr. Lu was the founder and curator of The Lu, Ping Su Museum.
Services to celebrate Dr. Lu’s life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077.
The Interment will immediately follow services at 11:00 AM. Dr. Lu was loved and adored by many friends, patients, and family and will be truly missed.
