Duane Lee Harrison

Duane Lee Harrison, loving husband of Darlene and beloved Uncle D to many, died Sunday, August 12th at home surrounded by loved ones. Duane was predeceased by his siblings James, Jo and Eddie, and is survived by siblings Delores, Lyda and Fielding. He had a fun-loving heart and a love of overalls and Budweiser and will be sorely missed by his wife of 24 years, her son Jeff and grandchildren J.R. and Joseph, and his cats Silver and Stubby. Duane grew up in Lost Creek, West Virginia, and after high school joined the Navy. Duane loved to jitterbug, especially with his sister Jo, dance to zydeco and boil crawfish. He grew so many tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and okra each year that his neighbors, friends and family were amazed. He had a fire going every day of the year and loved to visit with others and laugh about the good times he had with all kinds of people in all kinds of places. Viewing is Thursday, August 16th at Brookside in Houston. Graveside services are Friday at 2:30.
