E. Marcelle Warren

E. Marcelle Christian Warren, 90, born January 29, 1922 in Mexia, Texas, peacefully took Jesus hand to be escorted into Heaven on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Marcelle was a housewife until going to work at Pennzoil in their file room and on to be a Nanny for several years. Her laughter and a ‘can do’ spirit served as her encouragement to many.

Preceded in death by her parents Sara Elizabeth Meeks Christian and Lawson Corbett, her husband, Glen Harrel Warren, brothers and sisters Johnny Brittan (J.B.) Christian, Myrah Ann Christian, Georgia Hester Christian Cook, Lawson Corbett (L.C.) Christian, Eugene Edison Christian, Floyd Maynon Christian and Thula Mae Christian Naill. She is survived by her daughter, Glenelle Ann Warren Hopson, wife of Finnis L. Hopson and step-daughter Jill Marie Hopson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Khatri, Dr. Volpi for their exceptional care together with Dr. Ira, Nurses Karen, Hollie and Stephanie at Houston Hospice.

Visitation is at 9:15am on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Tx 77079 followed by the Funeral Service at 10am. Instead of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Tx 77030.
