

Edgar was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. One of five children of Silvestre and Mary Rincon, he graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad del Zulia in 1968. Upon graduation Edgar joined Petroleos de Venezuela where he held positions of increasing responsibility, reaching executive positions in an outstanding professional career before retiring.
Although he demonstrated the strongest of commitment to Petroleos de Venezuela during his career, his real passion was his family. His wife and children will forever be grateful for the quality of time he dedicated to them. His love and the principles he espoused shall give them the strength and courage required to live joyful and virtuous lives.
He is survived by his wife and love of his live Aida, his daughters Cristina, Maria Alejandra, Alejandra and Bettina, his sons Edgar, Bernardo, Ernesto and Rafael, and fifteen grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a gather and share remembrances of Edgar with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon to eight o’clock in the evening on Monday the 2nd of May, at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at six o’clock. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family in the adjacent grand foyer.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests charitable donations. In due time his family will provide information about our selected charity. You can also make donations to the charity of your choice.
