Edna Martha Havemann DeForke, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. She was born March 8, 1930 in Burleson, Co. TX to Frank and Margaret Havemann. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Edna leaves behind to cherish her memory two sisters: Alma Mynar and Margaret Knesek; six children: Elsie Walls and husband Roy, Lucinda Van Wagner and husband Roger, Margaret Havens and husband Bob, Reta Grohman and husband Michael, Frank DeForke, Shannon DeForke and wife Stephanie; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation was from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 4th at Brookside Funeral Home. Visitation prior to service at 11AM until the start of the Funeral service at 2PM on Saturday, February 5th at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 10310 Scarsdale Blvd., Houston, TX 77089. Interment was followed in Brookside Memorial Park.
