

Born on April 6, 1949, in Mexico City, Eduardo was the beloved son of Bulmaro Martinez Lozano and Maria Esperanza Torres Carranza. For decades, Eduardo dedicated his life to teaching, inspiring his students to dream bigger, think deeper, and strive for more. His impact reached far beyond the classroom. Former students would often stop him on the street when they saw him in the neighborhood, warmly greeting him as “Maestro,” a reflection of the respect and admiration he earned throughout his life.
Eduardo was a devoted family man whose love for his wife, children, and family was at the center of his life. He was the proud father of six children, and he filled his home and family with memories, guidance, laughter, and love. Those who knew him will remember his strength, his character, and the way he cared deeply for the people around him.
Eduardo had a passion for capturing life’s moments through photographs, leaving behind thousands of memories that his family will cherish forever. Through those photos, his love for his family, his life, and the moments he treasured will continue to live on.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Brizuela Martinez; his children, John Martinez, Monica Senior, Oscar Martinez (Liz), Gaudy Brizuela (Juan Manuel), Edgar Brizuela, and Nancy Brizuela; his grandchildren, Brandy Krahn, Ethan Martinez, and Alejandro Concepcion; his great-grandchildren, Lilly Guldhav and Van Pierce Andersen; and his siblings, Alicia Flores, William Martinez (Carmen), and Rosa Martinez (Eduardo).
Eduardo was preceded in death by his parents, Bulmaro Martinez Lozano and Maria Esperanza Torres Carranza; his daughter, Katherine Martinez; his brother, Jorge Martinez; and his grandson, Armand Giovanni Martinez.
Eduardo’s life was a blessing to those who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
A viewing and service will be held on May 23rd, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, located at 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate Eduardo’s life.
