Edward N. Bell, 88, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2019, Houston, Texas. Mr. Bell was born in Alma, Georgia on September 24, 1930. He joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a CWO from the Army while stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in October 1971. Mr. Bell, his wife, Barbara and their daughter Debra relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1971, where he lived until relocating to Houston, Texas in January 2017.
After retirement, he owned and operated Arrow Aluminum, a mobile home improvement company. Mr. Bell loved the Lord with all his heart and soul and was ordained as an Associate Pastor at Rosemont Baptist Church in Orlando. He had the distinct pleasure of worshiping and serving with Michael Ufferman, Pastor of Rosemont Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf, fishing and watching tennis and football on TV. In his final two years, he cherished every minute he got to spend with his 5 year old great granddaughter, Lexi Wolf. She loved her Grandpa Bell.
Mr. Bell is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara C. Bell, his parents and two of his brothers, Gene Bell and Richard Hodges. He is survived by his brother Dempsey Hodges; his daughter, Debra Wolf and son-in-law Michael, Houston, Texas; grandson, Michael J. Wolf and his wife Jennifer and granddaughter Brittney Wolf; three great grandchildren, Brandon Derby, Kayla Derby and Lexi Wolf. He is also survived by his “adopted” son, Treacy Copeland, Orlando, Florida who worked for, cared for and loved him.
There will be a funeral service in Houston, Texas on January 17, 2019 and a gravesite service at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10am.
