Ed graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and was a Licensed Professional Engineer. He worked for many years with FM Global with a career focus in fire protection engineering and risk analysis. The friends he made while working for FM Global lasted a lifetime.
He grew up in Schwenksville, PA. In his youth he was very active in the Boy Scouts, where he was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. He maintained lifelong friendships with his childhood friends. Ed even joined some of them for a trout fishing trip to Pennsylvania every spring. He was a true “outdoorsman” and loved fishing and camping. He especially loved making fishing trips to the Alaskan wilderness. Ed was looking forward to taking his daughter, Abby Simpson and her husband, Paul Sibley, to Alaska for the first time this summer. His family was very important to him and he always found a way to visit with both his immediate and extended families, despite living far away from many of them. Ed was a good friend, an amazing father, a great brother, and a warm-hearted person. He was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
He is survived by his daughter Abby Simpson and her husband Paul Sibley of Austin, TX, his former wife Faith Millington of Houston, TX, his brother Thomas Millington and his wife Susan of West Deptford, NJ, his nephew T. Richard Millington of Mantua, NJ, his niece Lauren Antonison and her husband Richard of Collingswood, NJ and his new grandniece Evelyn Antonison.
