

Edward E. Thiele, 86, of Orlando, Fl went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2026. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Felix and Erna Thiele on March 3, 1940. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting. In August of 1962, after graduation, he voluntarily served as an Officer in the US Navy. After 3 years of military service, his active-duty commitment ended. He went to work for Rowan Oil and Drilling Company in Houston Texas, as the Chief Financial Officer, where he remained until he retired, after many years of service. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He is survived by his small but mighty loving family: Daughter, Jody Peterson and her husband Keith, of San Antonio, Texas; Nephews and Niece: Mark Theiss (Joy) of Windermere, Fl, Paul Theiss (Suzanne) of Parrish, Fl, Karla Carson (Scott), Clermont, Fl; Great Nephews and Niece: Jennifer Veronee of Apopka, Fl, Phillip Theiss (Olga) of Long Island, New York, and Connor Carson of Clermont, Fl; Great-Great Nephew and Nieces: Dylan and Ashley Veronee and Anna Theiss. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Alice and his cherished sister and favorite brother-in-law, JoAnn and Karl Theiss. He also leaves behind an incredibly special family, not related by blood, but by love, the Viveros family – Rafael, Magdalena, Elizabeth, and Rafael “Junior.”
Ed was a sports fanatic. He loved all things sports with football being his favorite. He also enjoyed watching car driving with the Daytona 500 being his favorite. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, movies and tv shows, not once but a dozen times over. Mexican food, especially tamales, was a favorite and he could never turn down the “Swinging Door” Bar-b-cue. The most important thing was spending time with his family.
